"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

visual journaling workshops

journal demo page for today's visual journaling workshop

summer break is over, and visual journaling workshops began again this morning.

i love showing women the process of beginning this amazing journey.

i love how they take what i share and make it their own.

i love how God takes the process and prompts and speaks to our hearts right where we are.

we may have the same prompts, and even some of the same issues, but our pages are unique and personal.

thank you, God, for meeting us where where we are.

i praise You that "Jesus Christ is able to untangle all the snarls in my soul, to banish all my complexes, and to transform even my fixed habit patterns, no matter how deeply they are etched in my subconscious"
(Corrie ten Boom).

i'm so happy for those rich women
who get to sit in your workshop!
i want to be one of them
someday.
praise to the One who untangles
so well:)
and thanks to you for splashing
the essence of the untangler
out in color and form
for our eyes and soul
to drink.

Mary,
I love this post. I am making a visual journal on quotes that make me smile. I plan to use the quote you shared. Have a beautiful week.

Is visual journaling just for artists or do not normally artsy ladies learn too? :) I think I may have asked this several years ago, but I can't remember.

Visual journaling is for everyone. It's not so much about the product as it is the process. One does not have to be an "artist". Actually, we are all creative, we were made by the master artist, and therefore creative beings...it may look different in each of us, but it's there.

Oh how I wish I could attend your ladies retreat and get to art journal under your direction Mar. God is certainly doing great things for you and in you these days! I can see it in your writing.

I love Corrie ten Boom and this quote so much. I think I am going to write it out and carry it with me today and everyday for a while to remind myself that, Yes, even in me, He can make all things awesome and new!

Love you!
