"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

more journal pages

these are some of my favorite journal pages ever.

i'm not even sure i can explain why i like them so much.

they were done in a much quicker fashion, a little more haphazardly then normal.

maybe with a little more freedom.

Mary,
Freedom is the key. I love them especially the first one. Have a great Saturday.

Love it when we experience breakthroughs with our creative expressions. Raw and real, love how you use the black & white in your work, gives them an edge.

Bren, i think that is what draws me to them.

I am just up this morning, with a hot mug of coffee on this chilly Saturday, and your three pages were the first things I saw. Even before I read that these were some of your very favorite ever, I thought the same thing! While I always get excited to see your work and how you play with bold color, these rocked my world with color and those carefree smudges of beautiful black! And your words! beautiful, Mary! LOVE these. Have a happy weekend, kath

I'm going to pick the third journal page as my favorite of the three. Makes me want to decipher it like a mystery novel.

I love them too! Most of my favorite artwork was made with freedom. I am most excited when I don't know what my end result will be.

I recognized your smile from some blog comments over the weekend. Have you ever linked with Jennifer at Studio JRU for Sneak Peek Friday? Would love to see your art there regularly :)

freedom and looseness feel good for the soul's expression, I think. Less thinking, more expressing maybe ? Love them. Congrats on what looks like an amazing class too!
Happy Tuesday !

Mom you should make a canvas painting of the first one about hope like you did with the one that says stop. I would hang it up in my room! Or you could sell it haha :)
