"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

unplanned goodies from an art studio

Here is the watch I splattered with paint, kind of fun don't you think...

I usually put a piece of paper or folder behind the page I am painting in my journal to keep the
previous page from getting paint on it.  This cross was made from a folder I had used multiple times.

I LOVE that watch!!!!! You could so sell those and very quickly Mary. It is beautiful and artsy! Did you have to put a glaze of some kind on top of the paint?

Hugs,
Lee Ann

Thanks you all...Lee Ann, no I did not put anything on top of the paint. I had paint on the watch already, I just added a bunch more. Will see how it wears.

hehehe I knew you were going to use those papers you previously used to keep paint from going thru to the next page in your journal, but making them into a cross was an awesome idea...you are such an inspiration...I remember only a little touch of paint on that brown leather watch, now it has so much character...I love it...Hope it wears well, but if not you can always paint it again then seal it!!!
(((hugz))) my little sister!!!

I used a few pieces of the bristol board blotter that has been covering my desk for a long time in some of my art this week too. Love the unexpected treasure soemthing with so many layers of paint can provide.
And the watch...just gorgeous, Mary !
