"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Abiding Monday

Do I believe God meets us where we are???
You bet I do!

Curling up on the couch, still in my PJ's, and coffee cup in hand this was my first reading this morning.

"Entrust your loved ones to Me; release them into My protective care.  They are much safer with Me than in your clinging hands...When you release loved ones to Me, your are free to cling to My hand.  As you entrust others into My care, I am free to shower blessings on them.  My Presence will go with them wherever they go, and I will give them rest.  This same Presence stays with you, as you relax and place your trust in Me.  Watch and see what I will do."

(From Jesus Calling by Sarah Young)

Blessings and Hugs!

He sure does! No matter what storms might come in life, He is a constant and will show us the way through, around and over.

HE has absolutely perfect timing too, Mary. My youngest (27) flew off to NY City to visit friends for a week's vacation from work so even at this age I still want to grab hold of him. After all, he's my baby! So this passage from Jesus Calling was perfect timing for me too.

thanks for this just now, Mary.
My heart screeches to a stop and eases over for a closer look at "as you trust them into my care, I am free to shower blessings on them."
"WHAT???"....my heart asks for the umpteenth time.
"I need to get out of the way
so YOU'LL be free to move and do and bless?
I've actually hindered the process with all of my hovering?!?!"
And the resounding "yes" that keeps coming in
a million ways takes me to my knees.
And life is sweeter down here.
Thanks, Lord, for yet another reminder
to trust you with the job!

Perfect, Mary! thank you for this! My younger child, Andrew, just arrived in from London. i was praying for the whole 11 days that he'd return safely...and he did. This friday he leaves again for college. Thank God He will be with him again. Enjoy your day, your coffee, your jammies, Mary!

Even when I don't understand his timing, I know it is still the best for me. So glad that God gave you those words today. Wow! They were certainly meant for YOU, momma to Meg.

Wish I could sit on that couch and have a cup of coffee (tea for me) with you Mar!

Warm Hugs,
Lee Ann

I'm glad I had the opportunity to have a personal relationship with this Jesus fellow.

He is so much more caring about His creation than the God I grew up with.

This reading speaks to me telling me that our family and friends are only safe with God if we but let Him take the lead.
