"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Two More

One completed page
and
one background

see some new transparent tape?
Yum!!

Oh, I have decided I don't like to use gel medium to glue images on theses.  Though it's great for smooth backgrounds it gets a little messy, and if it gets on the top of the image it's hard to write on.  If I am doing a painting or mixed-media piece I use the gel medium and cover the image with it too, especially if I will be adding paint on top. But in these collage journal pages I want to be able to write directly on top of the papers and images.  I have found a glue stick I like a lot.  It's Scotch wrinkle -free glue stick.

I am off to take our kitty Flirt to the vet.  She has a bladder full of stones and is having surgery today.

I hope Flirt had a good prognosis at the vet today.

Once again I love your journal pages. I really like how you use numbers on your pages. It looks so cool! For some reason I relate so many things to music. As soon as I saw your journal pages here, I thought of the song: 1,2,3,4 by Leslie Feist. You will have to look that song up! It's a catchy tune that sticks with you.

Sending positive healing thoughts....may your kitty have rapid recovery.

I love the glue stick idea compared to gel medium. But glue sticks can be quite messy too.....or maybe I'm just a messy person, period.

Lovely pages...and hope your kitty feels better soon. I love the UHU glue stick...works awesome! I do mostly use gel, though, and apply it with my finger.
