"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Well Miss Mary, you're having a fine time with your dots, aren't you? These cross paintings are so cheerful and full of excitement and love. The dots in this one remind me of aboriginal paintings in Australia.
Have a look at Lee Hodges work: http://www.leehodgesart.com/index.htm

Maybe your soul has a lot of deep things it's trying to say. I love the bold pattern! It's nice, and I'm sure that you enjoyed painting it, right! Keep on. Come visit me sometime..

Lighter color paintings?
There's plenty of light coming from this one...I have always loved colors on black; it makes them pop right off of the surface.
Stop worrying about it, and
paint on, girlfriend!

I always try not to use red or orange...lol...try finding a painting that has no red or orange in my collection. I like to push myself, but I also am big into letting me pick what feels right : )

Mary I love this. I too like the black. All my paintings start with me painting the whole canvas black. I think you should try etsy. I did and have since moved to ebay but God kept telling me to keep going with the Angels and I have been blessed by it. You never know who may touch by your work. Love your work.

You've been busy Mary! I know just what you mean, I start out trying to create something lighter in colour but wind up going deeper and deeper in shading, ah well that's part of what makes us unique. I'll be watching to see what your next steps will be with your art, it's exciting to see someone coming into their own and expiring to those of us who are just beginning!
