"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

what's with the elephants?

I'm not sure why I am so drawn to using an image of an elephant on my pages and in my paintings these days, so I'm just gonna go with it and see what happens.

well, I love the serendipity of this my dear.....watching "Eat Pray Love" right now, and at this very moment, it's the bit where she's in India, and the rogue elephant walks up to her.......a powerful and mystical picture of God and his little/big surprises......

something to this.....thanks for the moment...

So funny you'd say this, Mary. I was saying last week that I am lovin' elephants lately and can't get them out of my head. I drew one in my agenda last week!! Your pages are beautiful! Hugs, k

Thanks for your comments ladies, i was wondering if I am drawn to them because I am seeing more of them, or am I seeing more of the because I am drawn to them? Whichever, I'm going to explore this a bit!

Beautiful pages Mar. I have a feeling the symbolism of the elephant will present itself to you in time, amazing what our art brings forth about our inner world.

I always think of love that lasts and lingers long...the fierce kind of love that does community really well. powerful loyalty.
somehow they make me think "remember the old promises, the things of old, the long-waiting things."
Several images I've seen of elephants lately were of reunions from many years ago....humans would've thought they'd forget but the bond so strong it seems as if time never passed.
Maybe that resonates with you...I'm thinking prayers and promises loooooooong in the coming to pass. I dunno.
It really speaks to me, your pages. Thank you:)

Love your art!My cousin would love your elephant art as this is the symbol of her sorority. Ask.com says Elephants symbolize noble things such as wisdom, courage, stature and strength. Elephant tusks in particular are known to symbolize great strength.

Powerful yet gentle....sounds like our Savior Jesus. Luke 2:52 says "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor wit God and man. Selah (pause and think on this)....
