"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

little journal

a sweet friend gave me an old prayer book to use as a journal
i covered it with colorful tape...i like it covered for now

i seem to be filling it up with things that are speaking to my heart

a few entries are old friends

i kept this prayer in the front of the book. the word sanctuary
seems to keep appearing in my life

sanctuary - immunity afforded by refuge
a sacred or holy place
any place of refuge; asylum

i looked up asylum - as sanctuary it can be a physical place
or seeking a safe place - as in seeking asylum

the dictionary says - safe from violence - without

God is our refuge - a safe place to hide

internal safety

no matter what storms rage outside of me (you) around me (you)

there is a safe place - there is safety and peace in the midst to be had

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1

Grace and peace...in the midst of the storms of life...
