"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

cleaning and re-organizing

I really should have taken before photos. I have spent two days cleaning, re-organizing and re-arranging our bedroom. I finally put the Christmas decorations away. Our bedroom is THE room that everything that we don't know where to put gets put.  I don't want to do that anymore.  If there's not a place for something, it goes.  I want our bedroom to be a retreat, a respite.

Moved a couch from the upstairs bedroom, and two large chairs to the upstairs bedroom. You should have seen us, remember we live in a very old home and the staircase is somewhat narrow and steep. We had to lift the couch over the railing, there was not enough room to pivot...you should have seen us.

If you want a laugh, take a peek at this Friends video with Ross, Chandler and Rachel trying to wrangle a couch up the stairs...too funny!!!

Here are few after pictures

It looks beautiful Mary, artful and restful :-) We have been doing up our very old house for 10 years now (!!) and our bedroom is the dumping ground too. One day we'll get round to doing it!

It's yummy, once again you've created such beautiful and unique spaces. Love it and I can just imagine trying to get those overstuffed chairs up those stairs, I grew up in a home with those narrow stairs!

Dear Mary,
I have been pinning your pics for 2 days now without getting your permission. Sorry. Is it okay? I leave the link to your blog. Thank you for encouraging me to start to think of my self as an artist, and to keep asking God to show me what questions to ask and to be courageous enough to listen for His truth. With love, Georgina
