"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

drawing more

I mentioned in a previous post that I was using stencils and stamps less. I want more of my own hand. I think pulling back from using something one relays on a lot is a good discipline. In life as well as in art. Not that we don't incorporate them in again, but it's good to not be dependent on them.

I am finding that using my own hand more in my journals I am expressing myself in a different way, at least it feels different. I like exploring new ways of expressing myself. In some ways it feels uncomfortable, but that's okay.

I found the feather image on tumbler...will draw it on the page eventually. I have been practicing.

I can see after posting these images they are not great photos. I have been lazy and using my iPhone. Even these are not great for the iPhone I must say, but it is a rainy nasty day here today. Will start using my camera again I think.

Hi Mary! I am certainly enjoying all of the ways you express yourself through art! How are you doing these days? How are those sweet bassett hounds doing?!
