"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Thank you so much for always sharing your talent. I look forward to what you have to say and they way you say it so beautifully. I really needed to see this entry today. I have had a rough week, for no particular reason. I need to be reminded that I am the one who condemns. I have been forgiven and it would do me good to learn to forgive myself. Thank you for making a difference in my day. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

You are so brave to be so open in your posts thank you for sharing them. I believe God gave you these talents so you would help spread his good word. I also believe you are doing that wonderfully. :)

This is one of my favorites of your recent journal pages, Mary, both for the words and for the art.
What pen did you use to get to write so well on dark surfaces? I haven't found a single white pen that works that well for me.

The truth does set us free but it is not always pleasant at the time.

Mary, this page is incredible! Incredibly beautiful and truthful and I resonate with all of it. Thank you for sharing such vulnerable and open art with us. It encourages us that we all battle with things within us but to keep pursuing the One who has overcome!

our minds seem to almost prefer
a lie, don't they...our flesh,
i mean.
i guess it's like a high;
maybe it gives our independence
a buzz.
oh for grace to drop down
into the true places
deep inside our spirits,
Jennifer
