"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

bits and pieces

I really like taking close ups of a larger piece. They become little works of art in themselves.

I have been looking at Sarah Ahearn's book, Painted Pages.

Still playing with hand doodles.

And there it is, circles divided! I do believe we are both feeling the need to explore and give ourselves permission to have at it! Great pages

It seems many of us are searching to get to something that is deep inside....may the adventures begin....

I really like these pages and I like the way you enlarge certain aspects of a page and I also like that you are a person who will struggle with something until you get an answer....You are definitely a person of courage....

Love ya,
Nanie

Hi Mary & greetings from Buckroe Beach, Virginia. I just wanted you to know I was re-reading my Somerset Art Journaling magazine, & looking at your awesome, rich, & just beautiful art~work & felt moved. Not just by your art but by your story. I am getting ready to turn 50, & I too "love" to art journal. I have been doodling around since I was a kid, but this is different. And God is speaking to me softly, & I think through the article I just re~read. I have many art Journals but this is the first time I was just "still" & began writing. I know this is a long post but I just had to write you & say Thank You from the bottom of my heart for sharing your art, your story, & your Love of God. For some reason because of you & your story this is the first time I have ever picked up my journal & just let go & began to write. I started out with your words under Divine Intervention, & just went from there. So again, Thank you for your art & your lovely words. You have no idea how they really resonated with me. I look forward to visiting your blog & seeing more. God Bless you Mary from one Art Journaler to another, my journey begins now...
