"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

unexpected journal page

this is something a bit different for me.  i was creating some backgrounds to have some pages to journal on while in the mountains last weekend.  just throwing some paint on the page with my hands.  i pulled off an old photo i had on another page of my mom and dad and three of my siblings.  it ripped as i was removing it so i just taped it on this page, and the thought came to me "piecing family back together".  we are a broken family...have always been...i came out of that family broken...like so many of us have.

but we don't have to say stuck with what we received or did not receive from our family of origin. God is in the business of putting broken things back together.  that is why he came.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound... ( Isaiah 61:1)

...I came that they may have life and have it abundantly  (John 10:10)

i have seen this happen...i am experiencing this...

He is faithful to do what He says, even when circumstances look and feel otherwise!

Grace and peace to you all!

Powerful stuff comes when we let go of expectations and let our Soul shine through.

Oh indeed, he does the most amazing job on the inside of us. Inspiring post Mar, inspired journal page.
Oh and I loved that canvas you painted, have you ever tried putting a resin finish on one of your canvases, I'm thinking it would really look great on them? Having just done a few of my own it's worth trying I can tell you.
