"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

stuff

i am trying a new journal.  just a simple mixed media spiral journal from Canson.
I like it's 7x10 size.

i usually work across two pages - spreads.  but i wanted to try creating more on single pages.

each of these could stand alone...

for some odd reason this one will not load vertically   i cropped it a bit more, but it still loaded horizontally.

i wanted to keep this sweet comment from a woman that read my article in Art Journaling Magazine. i really don't mean to be boasting here...well in myself...because this really is God's show.  but it shows the power we have with encouraging words, and being open and honest in our own struggles and life. being real and authentic in the living of this life.

we are all on our own journey, but there are many ways our journeys are similar.

i am thankful for this journey i am on.  the ups and downs, the bumps and smooth places.  the joy as well as the pain.

oh, about the 31 days of praise journal. i have decided that since i am going through the book again this month, i will catch up on the pages as i go along.  i have changed one page completely...will post it on the corresponding day.

may your journey be a splendid adventure...

This is wonderful news my friend, how exciting to have such great feedback already on your articles. I've got to see if I can get a digital version of the magazine, they just don't sell them anywhere around here. Again Congrats on being published in a great magazine. Love the journal spreads too :-)

that is a beautiful thing, Mary!
i love the comment and that you kept it and used it in your art!
what a brilliant way to encourage your spirit to keep springing up life:)
the sweet little twigs I see at the bottom of one of yours....they look like little tree branches.
Do you hand draw those or are they real twigs painted and pressed?
I really love that.
I love it all.....thank you Lord for Mary:):):)
