it's raining here so this is not the best photo, but you get the idea. i am really happy with this piece.

i don't really know what's up with that. why can't i just paint?
maybe it's just finding the elements that speak to me...

i like bold graphic elements
i love letters
words
numbers
and symbols
i love the look of graffiti
i like a little messy and drippy
i love color
i think mostly it takes painting a lot...really a lot...experimenting, messing up, doing it again.
oh, i received my copy of Art Journaling magazine. it's cool and a little weird to see my work in a magazine.

I think it's interesting you stress to find your style...from an outsiders perspective our style is not only prominent but fantastic! I think I could spot a Mary piece a mile away! Love your artwork and I really have been enjoying your 31 days of journaling . I also agree with you that it was not a coincidence that your book had exactly 31 pages the Lord will give us what we need.
