"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

same kind of different

update...this is painted over an old painting that had houses collaged on it.  you saw the ones on the right outlined in white.  as Jo suggested i outlined the ones on the left in black.  i am thinking i am liking this, will live with it for a bit...i can always go back and paint over them if i decide it's too busy.

there are things i like better about this one...things i don't

not sure if there needs to be something bolder to the left of the houses in the blue area...

i am painting over old paintings that no longer speak to me...so the texture and many layers are already in place...

Well of course you can guess how much I love these with the red crosses. ;) I like the drips running down too. It would be fun to watch you work in your studio.

It's a beautiful piece. I'm sure you will figure out if you need to add something more to the blue, maybe if you just outline the 'freedom' in white or something it would be enough.

Mary....your work has strong messages...I like it very much. I really like the bold images of this painting...what a great idea!!! Wonderful!

I like this one a lot. How about continuing the row of houses onto the blue using black paint? I think that would balance and connect the spaces.

Lovely poem, Mary. My opinion is that the blue is bold enough to stand on it's own and is a nice "resting spot" for the eye. I would leave it as it is. Hugs
