"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

A few more pics of my living room

i took out one of the red couches and moved it to another room.  the room
seemed a bit furniture heavy to me.  i like where i moved it, will show you later.

replaced the red slipcover with a cream one for summer

changed up the mantle a bit

love my new pillow - a birthday gift.

i love my little hippie corner...lol

had room for this table after the sofa was removed.  i like that i have a place work in here.

these pics were taken with my iPad.  it takes crappy pictures but i have gotten a little lazy it seems.
you get the idea of things.

hey, i have a question for you.  when you post a photo and you write something about it
do you place it above the photo or below?

Grace and peace

Haha, Mary, I always wonder the very same thing: above a photo or below? Each time, I still wonder. So, I go with the flow and probably do something different every single time! I love how you create artistic presentations with details even such as books, for every corner of your home. You are an artist through and through! Your decor just blows me away... Love ya, kath

Love what you do with your home Mar. It looks so inviting and interesting, things that are unique and interesting all about, including your art :-) If I can't place the text beside the photo I usually go under it so that people see first then can read my explanation, otherwise I'm reading and then have to scroll down so I can see what's being referred to. all a matter of preferences I guess.

I love the cheerful attitude of your home, Mary. It's so you.
About photo explanations: in print publications the caption goes under the photo and in blogger when you click on the photo you get a 'caption' option which they place automatically under the photo. I get confused when I read about something before I can see the picture, so my answer and practice is to put the explanation after the image.
Whatever you do, be consistant.

I love these pics of your home, especially the 'hippy corner'. I think I usually put the writing before the pic, but I'm going to try it the other way . . . if I remember LOL!

Hey Mary,
I love the picture of the typewriter in front of the window.
I see the cross behind the typewriter holding the word love.
Thank you for writing and painting your life, painting and journaling your life.....it is all about HIS LOVE and THE CROSS.

I vote for under the photo. I too find myself scrolling down to see what's being written about. Love seeing photos for your home. Very inspiring.
