"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

weekend

What a lovely weekend.  We stayed at the Tapoco Lodge in Robbinsville, NC. A lovely old inn on the Cheoah River. Two nights sleeping in the most comfortable bed ever, listening to the rush of the river through the open window. And the food, well just amazing!

Spring in NC is truly beautiful.  Look, can you see the heart carved out in the ground?  It's shadowed perfectly.  I did not see it until I uploaded my photos, this will certainly end up on a journal page.

my purple is fading fast, bummer!

I had a bit of time to sit and journal. I am liking this journaling a bit each day. I am sure i will continue to do spreads in one sitting, but it's nice to have the freedom to do both.

My precious, kind hearted, best chicken noodle soup maker husband!

Where I had the workshop, the views surrounding this little place are amazing.
And the smell, what is it about the smell in the mountains. I breathe deeply when there.

My sweet friend Marsha Harwood who keeps it all moving smoothly, and who's love and care
for the people in the area is boundless.

Marsha has a radio ministry called Grace Cafe.  When you have a moment check out

I am going to be busy, busy, busy these next few weeks getting ready for The Little Red Barn sale.
Forgive me if i am not visiting or leaving comments.  Not ignoring you all, just a bit overwhelmed.

Grace, peace and love!

Mary, what a fabulous uplifting post! You both look very happy, and your life seems very full right now. Thanks for the heads up about the Snowbird Team Ministries....I'll check it out. Although not a journal keeper like this myself, I can appreciate the time which goes into gorgeous journal pages like these.

Oh Mary I loved seeing the photos of you and your hubby. It's nice that you two could make a little time away together out of your teaching time at the workshop. What a wonderful inn to stay in, or it looks so warm, comfy and welcoming.

The spot and space for the workshop looks awesome! Bet it was a wonderful weekend. So happy for you and the way your art is being noticed and you being used to show others how to make it. I bet you are a wonderful teacher too. Can't wait to see what you've made for the Red Barn Sale.

Hugs to you friend,
♥Lee Ann

My husband and I would have loved the time together and in that lovely scenic area. Never been to NC; hope the day comes when that does occur. Happy for you.
