"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

lazy afternoon

this is where i spent the afternoon.

i had a journaling workshop this morning. i love doing them, but i am pooped when i get home.
Ansley Denihan at Two Cities Two Girls (who is an amazing artist) was at my workshop.
check out her beautiful pages.

so i headed for the porch for a little nap and ended up spending the afternoon there.

love the view from the couch.  that's the original smokehouse. that tangle of branches in the background will soon be covered with beautiful roses.

the sky was beautiful

all the bushes and trees are in bloom around the house.

i took these through the screen...

the pollen has begun, there are days you look out through a thick haze of yellow.

hope you all are having a lovely weekend.

Oh MARY! How do you ever leave that gorgeous porch? I don't think I'd ever get a thing done--or if I did, it would be wrapped in such beauty from this inspiration of a place. Wow.

Mary, your porch is where I'm longing to get away too!! Beautiful & so restful~I am just beginning to dive into art journaling. I am going to the weekend retreat at Nancy's (Footprints to the Potter's House) next month. All the way to NC from MS. Looking so forward to it and I saw where you had taught a class last year. Excited about what the Lord has in store for me through this new adventure.
