we got a second couch to have more seating space. these are slipcovered couches and i had this color and an off white one for the couch we already had. i knew i could not get two slipcovers for the second so decided on red. glad i did. i think the off white would be too light with the light walls...at least for me.
i am loving this arrangement and the room seems bigger to me even with more furniture. go figure.

How cheerful, how welcoming and just says, "come and stay awhile"...very cozy!
Great job.
Gorgeous and welcoming and warm and happy. I love your paintings on the walls...and your table and pillows...of course, I could go on! I am thrilled about a bench that arrived yesterday, for my new sunroom. It is for in front of a window, so I have the feel of a window seat! A dream come true... The rest of the furniture is not in yet, nor the lighting, but soon...soon. Thank you for the room tour, Mary! Aahh. Have a happy day!
LOVE!! I wish I was there right now!! P.s. just think about coming to Jor with us for a week to make a tiled house feel homey!!! :-)
So comfy and welcoming! And I love your paintings on the wall. Thank you for the tour.
I love the reds - and they are not the bright ones that don't let you relax - it feels very comforting and relaxing. Love the paintings on the wall. sandie
What a splendid, bright, colorful, cozy room. Makes me want to sit right down on the big red couch, curl my feet beneath me and talk about art, creativity and love over a nice cup of tea...
Love it Mary ! Enjoy !

I wish my rooms were as tidy as yours!
I love love the red couches. Something I have wanted for ever so long. The whole room is calling me.
it's calling me, too! ♥♥♥

Such a happy, inviting, cozy, welcoming room, Mary. It's just like you. Love the reds!
Mary I am so glad we finally got to meet in person! Let's do it again soon.
This room really reflects you; it's warm, inviting, beautiful, comfortable and colorful just like you are my sweet friend Mar....A perfect place for us to laugh and sip tea and chatter.....

I've been looking for a red couch! And your original artwork on your walls makes your space look like a designer home...impressive, kid.
Tickled that you were able to get another couch to go with the other one...I agree, red was perfect for the second one. Yes the room does look bigger and I too love your art on the walls...I always did like that room, and where did you get that awesome colorful chair??? I can't remember seeing that before...and Nancy is right it's just like you, BEAUTIFUL love ya sis.
That cool patterned chair is from Urban Outfitters,it was a birthday gift. It's comfy too.
So full of life and fun colors! Love getting to see the whole room.
I love your room Mary with all of the glorious red and your special touches of paintings on the walls. Love glorious red myself. As much as I love creating and color, I can get so stuck when it comes to decorating the decor of my home. I think I try too hard because of wanting it to be perfect the first time, so I don't have to spend extra money to redo it. Well, that doesn't work, because perfect doesn't exist! I love your very welcoming and warm style using bold red. Hey, can you tell me where you purchased your slipcovers?
Keep being glorious and bright Y♥U Mary!!!..for Y♥U is Beautiful!!!
