"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

second day

This large painting sold

as did Meg's big bird painting and a few more...

Trish Land was looking around old Norcross when she and her friends drove by The Little Red Barn Sale.  She owns a boutique in Decatur, Alabama. She stopped in and wanted to purchase several items from several of the artists to take back to her store.  She purchased four original paintings from Meg and I, as well as several framed prints and cards.

It was hard letting that big heart painting go...it is one of my favorites.

I want to thank Trish and her friends for stopping by, and for such positive interest and appreciation for our work.

I am recovering today...came home with vertigo.  This happened to me last year around this time of year.  Thankfully I had some of the medications left and they have helped.  What a bummer of a way to end a fabulous weekend.

Carrie, if you are reading this I think it falls into the category of the letters I purchased from you...lol

Much love to all of you...and thanks for all the good wishes and prayers for a successful weekend.

Well congratulations to you and Meg both. Not just a sale but a contact, someone who might be interested in buying more for her shop. Hope you're doing better and I expect you're exhausted on top of it all!

Hi Mar!
I know what you mean about selling your paintings. Sometimes you feel like you are selling your baby! But congratulations on the sale! I love that painting. Meg looks fabulous as always and I am praying for a quick recovery from the vertigo. That's no fun for sure. I say that you meet sweet Jane Royal. I told her we should all try to get together sometimes in Atlanta or somewhere. Lori could come too!

Hi Mary! I'm so thrilled that your show was a success! It sounds as if it was a really enjoyable weekend. Your inspiration board turned out beautifully. With all of the art you create, it must have been fun incorporating it into your project. I hope your art journal students had good experience with theirs. I'd love to see photos of their boards. Maybe you could do a post about it! I hope you are feeling better now. Vertigo is no fun. Hugs, Terri
