"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

you become

"You become. It takes time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in your joints and very shabby.  But these things don't matter at all, because once you are real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

Velveteen Rabbit

This is in my large Moleskine journal. I have taped the portion from "The Velveteen Rabbit" to the page.  I think I will write it in one of the butterflies in white - or not...

That quote is a good one to remember on those days when I feel less than lovely!

The colors in your artwork make a person's heart happy.

Great quote from the Velveteen Rabbit. With age a little wisdom, some tarnish, and a deeper happiness. Oh, and bigger wings, like your butterflies, to fly! xox Corrine

One of my favourite quotes and you've done a great job creating pages and images that go so well with the idea. Like the idea of perhaps portions of the quote in the butterflies. Great stuff Mar

Oh one of my favorite quotes... thanks. Just love your work. Do you ever cut up your journals so you can just enjoy one piece? I seem to rip them up as I want to see one piece only at a time - just can't handle it being closed away.
