"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

sometimes...

Sometimes I wake, and lo, I have forgot,
And drifted out upon an ebbing sea!
My soul that was at rest now resteth not,
For I am with myself and not with thee;
Truth seems a blind moon in a glaring morn,
Where nothing is but sick-heart vanity.

George MacDonald
Diary of an Old Soul

I have spent too much time this week on other things. Good things, but forgetting
to spend time with the Giver of those good things.

I wonder if I will ever get to the place where I do not wander so?

Grace and Peace

How very true ... the wandering happens so quietly and quickly.

So true and great post!!! The saying that good things rob us of the best, comes to mind, and why don't I remember that?

Its so easy to wander,we're all guilty of it. Just don't wander to far so you won't get lost! Beautiful piece.

Grateful He loves us in our wanderings
and comes like a shepherd
after a much valued lamb:)

I hear and understand your question loud and clear Mary! I ask that question often too! But so thankful that he never looses site of me and like Jennifer said, comes after us like a shepherd and brings us back and keeps us close to himself.

This week, before going to work, when I was rushing around like crazy, I placed my Bible in the bathroom! (glad God doesn't care what room I talk to him in! ha) Then after reading I jumped into the shower and sang praise songs to him. Through all of this, even in my rush and singing to him in the shower, I felt his presence so strongly and he blessed my heart and soul so. He even gave me an new idea for another art project in the shower. I think He understands how life can keep our brain so on overload. So even if sometimes it is just a pause to hear him whisper to us or a moment to feel his touch on our face with the blessings he surprises us with, I think He is still smiling on us.

I loved seeing this awesome piece of art on my etsy packaging from your shop that I just received from you! Love the art inside too! Thank Y♥U Mary!
