"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Life is good

I want to thank all of you for you kind comments, well wishes and congratulations. It has been a long four or five days.  I have been caring for my first Grandson, who is sweet, funny, and such a caring little guy. There were a few times I sighed, and Sean said, "What's the matter Mini, what's the matter?"  He really is a joy to watch, but looking after a 2 year old is not easy.  I don't remember being this tired. Yes, I was younger, but it is also amazing to what one just adapts to. You do what you have to do when you have to.

Every part of me hurts, especially the knee I landed on when I fell out of bed. Yes, I fell out of bed!!! It was Saturday evening and I was waiting for the call announcing Jack's birth.  I got a text, and reached for my phone.  Now, I was in Seth and Brooke's bed which is a little higher than mine, and the side table a little further away. I turned to get my phone, my foot got caught in the covers, and it was a longer reach than I thought and down I went.  lol

They came home from the hospital yesterday.  We are still trying to figure out who Jack looks like. I see Brooke's side in him.  I think he favors Sean a bit too.  His hair is darker, his Mom's color. I wonder if it will be curly like Sean's? It will be fun to see him grow.

I stacked these book in our kitchen fireplace (we don't use it) before the excitement.  I saw it in the new Country Living magazine.  Don't you just love it??

Glad those books are fodder for your artistic soul and not fodder for a fire! It does look grand, your whole house is a feast of interesting ideas and combinations. Hope that knee recovers well and you too, can well understand the exhaustion!

It IS wonderful being a grandma. Congratulations. I sure know how it feels to watch the kidlets; even a couple of hours is exhausting, and overnight or for a weekend takes more than I have to give these days, though I do it occasionally, swearing that's the last time no matter how much I love the brood. My daughter has 4 so keeping up with them alone is out of the question...LOL. Thank God the 2 older ones are now teens and can help in a real way.
I'm sure you're a Great grandma.

Lord please heal grandma's knee quickly:)
Sounds like you're having some "Geritol"

Wishing you deep rest,

Love the fireplace bookcase! Congratulations on the new baby boy. I have a favorite saying, you may have heard it but it says "If I had known grandchildren were so much fun, I would have had them first". Enjoy, they grow faster than our own children did.

How creative...enjoy that little two year old...I remember my mother saying that if she borrowed my son for a week or two she would lose all her weight, now why didn't that work for me when I had a two year old at age 47? LOL

Again Congratulations. Oh, if you didn't see the pianos on my blog please stop by..if they come your way I hope you will go paint one and leave your artistic mark.

I am so sorry to hear of your bed mishap! Goodness gracious, Mar. I do know how tired you are though. When we keep baby Marc we are dragging by the second day! Babies are for the young!

I can totally relate to you on watching your grandson,I watched my grandsons who are two and three for a couple of days while my daughter was in theh hospital having her baby! Its exhausting! I don't remember it being that hard when my kids were little! I hope your knee feels better soon. I'm sure that wasnt easy watching Sean with a sore knee either. Love the idea of the books in the fireplace.
