"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Lenten painting

I painted the first layer of this at our Ash Wednesday Service. I added to, and changed it a bit today.  It will be displayed each Sunday through Lent.  I will take it home during the week and possibly add to it...or not.

Amazing, Mary. It's so good to allow people who aren't artists see how the process goes and to get a hint of why a painting can be an act of worship. We all come to God in different ways; this is our way.

I too like the brushstrokes you added Mary. It makes me think of Christ washing away our sins on the cross.
