"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

first strokes

Did you see this large canvas at the back of the room when I posted photos of my studio a few posts back?
It's 40x60. This is just the first layer, first strokes. I have no idea what the finished piece will look like.
Part of me wants to keep it simple, but as I look at it on this screen I see collaged pieces scattered across, with more color, doodles, words...will see.

Grace and peace to you.

Hiya Mary, Thanks for your prayers, very much needed just now, for my sister-in-law especially (cancer of the liver)
My back is much better already after much prayer by Andrew and his cohort at Cranmer College - (ordinands at Durham University) so lots of Vicars praying for me has obviously helped!
Its a while since I visited your blog so I've just had a catch up...do you know I had such a sense of peace as I was scrolling down and reading your news, seeing your art on the walls etc. You are a blessing Mary :)
I loved seeing your room transform (except for the books falling off the shelves!) and that canvas looks extremely large - I like the colours of your 'first strokes' and look forward to seeing the finished artwork

I love that you aren't rushing it,
just letting it marinate for a while
and be
before it becomes.
I love it already!

I love the beginnings of this piece. The colors are fantastic! I wish I had the space to work big like that but alas my little studio wouldn't accommodate anything of this size.

I can see it as it is hanging where it is the focal point among lots of white. You're just a fun artist.Blessings, Mollye

I know we have talked about this before...I love large canvas and I love that you just go full force with color. ♥♥♥ Looking at your work on your monitor helps alot. I have found for some reason it comes across in such a different way.

Hi Mary! Very interesting to hear your take on the canvas. I literally INHALED as I saw the massive expanse of the space. I am looking forward to seeing where the muse takes you. Thank you so much for purchasing from my little shop. Funny, I thought "hmm.. that name sounds familiar." Much love and PEACE to you friend. Thank you for your support. -Robin
