"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

endurance

endurance

I am working on a new painting.  I have to tell you it seems so long since I have painted one, and I felt stuck.
I have begun several only to cover them up. Painting is not coming easy for me. Which is rather interesting as I think about it. You see, I have been thinking about my "word" for the year. At the beginning of 2010 I chose abide as my word which prompted my Monday abide posts.  The word endurance keeps coming to me. I have not settled on it, but I am sure leaning towards it. I will continue to ask God these last few days if this is the word He has for me.

The yellow looks more orange here, I used Naples Yellow Hue, but it is overcast today.

Hi Mary, the New painting is lovely and I do know and understand what its like to be stuck... i am going through a simiiar phase just now.
I also came to say thank you for your wonderful comment about my mum and Alzheimers desease on my blog. Your words were lovely and meant a lot to me. Mam is doing well and really adored my scrapbook. She is mostly forgetful and isnt too bad at the moment and i just thank God that we still have some wonderful time together
I would like to wish you a wonderful New Year and may it be full of peace, love, health, happiness and warmth
hugs June x

I'm right there with you Mar, very stuck myself, colour giving me a hard time and I've covered over plenty in this past month or two. Getting unstuck, figuring out what's got us snagged, well, endurance sure seems to fit.
Love what you're doing here, love your spirit!

I love it, thanks for being so candid about being stuck! That encourages me. I need to seek the Lord on a "word" or a value that will be my guide through this next year...thanks for reminding me! Blessings, Connie
