"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Saturday journaling

Hope

My Saturday journaling group met yesterday. I cannot seem to remember to take pictures while they are here!!

I worked on this and worked on this.  Many layers I did not like, but I am totally pleased with this final layer.

I wonder what my final layer will look like.  I pray I do not waste the things that God allows in my life to complete it.  Many layers have been ugly, and I am sure there will be more. But He uses them all to create the final layer, the best layer!!

Blessings and hugs!!

It does seem to be better with more layers in so many situations in life.

This is beautiful, Mary. There is something very powerful and metaphoric about the many layers that finally turn out beautiful. It's kinda like our lives---as we mature in Christ all those ugly layers are covered up as we become more like Him. That is if we let Him be the artist!

Thank goodenss we are not left in the ugly layers but He blends and blends those layers and adds beautiful ones until we look like Him....

I love these journal pages....I see a cross going through a cicle of blood which is exactly what He did for us....He bled so we could live.
Another pondering post, Mar.....love ya friend.

Wow! I LOVE this painting and the words you wrote about the layers. Makes it even more beautiful. I'm so thankful that God makes beautiful things from our layers!!!! I'll be so glad when the torn and ragged layer I am in currently is covered with a precious new layer that lets me see some of the torn and ragged parts through it as a beautiful piece of art!!!! Waiting and hoping for that wonderful day!
