"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

looking back

Thank you all so much for your
prayers
and
get well wishes.

I am still feeling a bit under the pile, but thankfully I am no longer doing the bladder dance!!

Do you journalers go back and look at your first journal pages?? Oh you need to if you do not.

This is from my very first journal.  It was a regular journal with thin, lined paper. I had no idea of what I was really doing. For you new journalers - just begin.

Look what the stamp on the top right says - A Splendid Adventure!

Something else I tell all new journalers.  DATE your pages!! I did not date this one, I wish I had.  I do know it was done in 2007 sometime.

Blessings and hugs!

I'm so happy that you aren't doing that bladder dance anymore. Rest still, though, Mary! It is fun to go back to look at older journal pages, isn't it? And, recently, I even found my diaries from when I was about 10 years old! Antiques now they are...but who's counting?!

I cannot believe this was your very first art journal page. Ooo La La it is beautiful! I love the saying and I'm so thankful that you've shared your journey with ME (us)! My life has been sweetened because of meeting you Mar!!! And all because of you I'm also art journaling now too.

We used to have a truck like that but it was red. I loved it!

Hope you are having great weekend!
Great big hugs,
Lee Ann

Your first page is really good! I've always been too nervous to start an art journal; it's so permanent. But I love reading old journal entries from way back. It's so great to see how far you've come- in art and in life. Take care!

HEY MAR! I am so glad to be home but oh what a wonderful and inspiring week. I know now that I do want to do more lettering because it is my passion. This type of lettering I learned is difficult though. Hope you are doing well! PS--here's a little secret of mine---a little Photoshop with the healing brush on a picture of me goes a long way!!!

Glad to hear you are feeling better.
I know what you mean by looking back into the old entries. I have done so in my written pages and found some new insights in old writings.
