"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

journaling life as it is

This spread in done in my planner/journal.  The prayer is from Ken Gire's book, "Windows of the Soul"  I printed it out on large sticky labels I got from the office supply store.

This background is in the same journal.  I like having several backgrounds completed.  Then when I am out and about I have something to journal on.

"I Poo in Blue!"

This is my most precious grandson in my studio.  Have you seen the the youtube video about these diapers??
Oh my gosh, it cracked me up.  Of course we had to get him the diapers.
Here is the link if you want a laugh.

Hope you all are having a great day!!

Mary, WOW
On the surface, these pages are beautiful and the colors are georgeous but then you realize the gut level honesty that lurks below and I am blown away...You are so in touch with yourself and your feelings.....I am inspired by the way you tackle issues head on and don't hold back from digging deep.....I love the prayer....

On a lighter note, your grandson is just "pretty"......so adorable and he's learning from a wonderful grandma at such an early age the beauty and satisfaction of art....
I've got to get my grandson some of these diapers...so cute...

Hugs and blessings

It seems like everybody is journaling lately including me,it must be the summer time thing to do. Oh and you had ask if I used cardboard in my journal and yes it is. Yes Mary, in answer to your words on your journal, yes, you are progressing. When you share what you are going through with others, you have no idea the hopeful seed you are planting in other hearts. You my dear are such an inspiration. Now I need to start taking my own advice and get to working on my own art journal.

Your little grandson looks fan-tabulous in his Poo Blues! He is a cutie. I just came back from being with my grandchildren you know in PA and while there my daughter bought a box of the Poo Blues for my one yr old grandson... but I had not seen this video. It cracked me up too.

Hugs,
Lee Ann

I wrote such a long sharing story of why I "GET" your photo and the desire for "freedom"....that I had to delete it....it was too long....so I shortened it....still too long....so I shortened it more!....still too long....shortened it one more time....hmpf!! still too long...DELETE....by now I'm laughing about it....and have decided....someday we will meet hearts .... in person! LOVE this post ... it stirred much in me..... thankful, for some things lately that the Lord has used to free me a little more! Don't you LOVE KEN GIRE?!?!?!

Say It In Color said...

This is so funny, because it DID post in the above post....weird...God must have wanted it posted?! I hope it was God....anyway, it is rather personal, so if you want to delete it you really can...I don't mind.....I sure did put myself "out there"! You can only post soooo many words and I kept shortening it....then just deleted the whole thing, but it still showed up. Your journals and words do more for others than you know!! Praise Him for you....have you ever heard of Pearls and Grace....she used to speak....and has a wonderful story about how we are Pearls....if you can't find it...I'll try to RE-FIND it to share with you.....
