"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

A better view

Much, much better.  I did not want to see the snakeskin when I clicked on my blog, and I am sure you all were tired of seeing in on your sidebars!

We were told by a science teacher that it is not a venomous snake!!  That makes me feel a little better.  However, we still do not know where it is.  Last week I was in the attic space,  which is a walled off portion of our bedroom, remember our bedroom is a converted attic.  I tossed a pillow cover I wanted to use from the attic, (yes it was still sitting on the floor the other night) and I wonder if the snake had curled up in the pillow case to do it's shedding thing in the attic.  Maybe the skin was in the pillowcase when I tossed it out and the cat dragged it out.  Now, that means the snake is not loose in my bedroom, but in the attic!!

A little better.

Only a little.

The science teacher said, "The snake will stay around if there is a food source."  A food source?? You've got to be kidding me!!  Well we did catch a rat in the attic a few months back!!!!  Crap!  I have rats and a snake!!!!!! Remember I live in a very, very old house!!!!  Well I guess our rat problem has been taken care of by the snake, but I don't know if that is any better!!!

It's 10:50pm.  I have a decision to make.  Where do I sleep tonight?????  lol

I am dieing with laughter right now! You crack me up Mary! I think I know where you ended up sleeping, or should I say I know where I would go and sleep. Right back to the comfy and beautiful porch.

After reading your post, I couldn't help but feel like I was listening and watching an "I Love Lucy" episode!! Hmmm, now what would Lucy do?

Mary, You are cracking me up here. Good thing it's not poisonous! I'd be shaking in my boots too. We have a little black racer in our yard, but he's a harmless fellow. Just knowing they're not poisonous takes a load off doesn't it?

Your new collages are lovely Mary!

Love + Light,
Carissa

Scary funny! I know how you feel, Mary. I was at my computer about a year ago, when I heard a paper rattling near me. I thought it was odd since a window wasn't even open...I looked in horror as a 3 1/2 foot long snake slithered down my wall, behind my children's drawings which were hanging there, and slunk into my closet. I NEVER found it...friends said I should move. What was funny was that as I watched in slink into the closet, I had my camera in one hand (because no one would ever believe me) and my phone in the other, yelling to my husband to come home from work to save me!!!

"food source" "oh boy" what is food source for a snake...eeks Yes, that is a much better picture then the snake skin.

Can you bring in a professional to find the snake? At least it's not venemous.

Look at those blue eyes, too cute :-)
Phew! You are having a time of it and I'm still hoping that it was just your cat that carried it into the house not the snake living in your attic!

Mary,
This is funny the way you are telling it, but I know it is not when you have to sleep. Sometimes if I see a bug in my house, It is hard not to imagine them in my bed. Yuck!

Praying that God will help you find this critter along woth some peace and sleep.

Blessings,
Tammy
