"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

New Journal

I love this new journal. It measures 5 1/2 by 11 inches. When opened it's almost square.

Our journaling group met for the second week. What a great time we had. It is so wonderful to see the excitemen in discovering all that visual journaling is.

I have been hobbling around today - I broke my little toe last night!!!! I have one of the busiest weeks coming up and I broke my toe!!

I have learned the little toe is necessary - for balance - especially in the shower!!! lol

First off, love the look of your new journal! Your style is just so enjoyable. Now Please take good care of your broken toe. Are you elevating your foot with an ice pack on the injury? (Frozen bag of peas or other veggies will do.) Have you buddy-splinted the toe to its nearest neighbor? Been to the emergency room, urgicare clinic, or doctor? I ask because I happened to fracture three toes really badly the night before a big road trip, alone, from Ohio to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. I should have sought medical attention but didn't want to give up my dream vacation. And all the measures I took to make myself feel better were completely wrong, so healing took twice as long for me (the podiatrist was not amused but didn't yell). Get well soon, friend!

Oh, please be careful in the shower, and do take care of yourself. There's only one special Mary who can do awesome journal pages like the one above.

Looks like a fun journal! I'm so proud of you Mary for helping other artists like you are through inviting others to your studio to learn and journal with you. I'm sure it's a wonderful way to keep yourself excited about creating too, when you see all of those grateful and smiling faces beaming back at you. I think your journal says it all in the word RELEASE.....You have released your gift by giving it to others!!! Oh my I bet that feels so good. Wish I were there too.

I think God allows us to experience these challenges to make us more grateful for what we have. We take little toes for granted don't we? My friend once broke her thumb and realized it was so important! God really knew what he was about when he designed us! Love your new journal- you are inspired! I'm happy that you like the ATCs- I'm happy YOU won them! and that you were surprised! Take care! Patsy from
