"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Good morning

I slept on the screened porch last night.
There was a lovely breeze, it was even a little chilly.
I awoke in the wee hours of the morning to the most brilliant beautiful moon shining down on me. It is a few hours later, when the sun is up but it is not fully light yet. The birds are chirping, the leaves are swaying, such a beautiful morning. I am going to grab a coffee and head back to the porch.

This is a painting I did last year. It now hangs in my oldest son's apartment.

Have a lovely weekend my dear blogging buddies!!

Your moonscape is beautiful and what a nice thing to do sleeping on the porch. You are the second to mention the moon this morning. I must look tonight.

My first word was moon...we lived in Hawaii (my dad was an officer in the Navy) and I was born in Honolulu. We had a "coffee table" book about Hawaii and one of the photos was of an enormous moon. I guess I saw it enough times and I finally said "MOON". I still love to look at the moon -- I love that painting you did!! Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Love this painting! "Two drifters off to see the world...there's such alot of world to see. We're after the same rainbow's end..just around the bend...my huckleberry friend, moon river and me." (Henry Mancini).....your creaton reminds me of these beautiful lyrics. I love that you share your life so colorfully and openly. Thanks......Jennifer

This is a wonderful painting Mary! I love your usual bold, vibrant style, but this piece is much different from what I know of your work. It is very evocative. I also love the texture! :)
