"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Grafitti Grad Party

Look what they did!!!

I love it!!

This side of the barn partially faces our home so we can see it. I convinced my husband to let them do the side not just the back as there were lots of vines on the back of the barn. He said, "if you don't mind seeing it". If I don't mind, are you kidding!! I want to see it!!!

I want to do the rest of the barn!!!

They did this in semi-darkness too. The party did not start till 8pm. I did not get pics of them in action, I so wish I had!!!! It was so fun to see my daughter enjoying herself, dancing, and laughing. The kids had a great time!!

I must tell you I am pooped!!!! Between the wedding rehearsal dinner and grad party I am totally wiped out!!! Monday is graduation day!!!! At least I have a day to recuperate!!

FANTASTIC!!!! And how nice that your daughter has such a cool mom! Not every parent would let kids graffiti over a wall.

What a fabulous idea!! And how wonderful it is!!! You will treasure it forever. You should put some varnish over it to preserve it!!! I know you are tired. Just rest and bask in the wonderfulness of it all!

Oh Mary, what a fun thing to get to do and then to get to have the memory stare you in the face each day....just lovely!!! Also the flowers for the rehearsal dinner....brings back so many memories of my daughter's wedding we did outside....my friends did the flowers in a friend's barn...with so much creativity, things always turn out wonderful, wonderful....just like you have here with the bright and pretty flowers....your whole blog fed my soul today....and I didn't know about your toe....will pray for your recovery....oh, how we need our feet and hands!! I am so behind getting the new room to my store added....really pushing the little helpers I have that come after their regular job....and then we are doing a lot of it....scarey but fun starting a new venture to add the the gallery....wish I could pick a few of your talented brains....but getting it done....can't wait to post soon....I'm pooped too....I can smell the coffee brewing....I'll be right over to put our feet up on the railing and rock a little....maybe a nap too....love you and all that you represent....wish you were my neighbor!

Mary, you are one incredible lady! How you pulled off this double hitter in the space of a week is beyond me, no wonder your pooped!
I love your new graffiti barn, and I think doing the rest of the barn up in style will be inspiring and unique!

Mary,
Thanks for being such an inspiration to me. I know you touched the lives of those kids by letting them be creative in a way that most adults wouldn't allow.
For your next gathering: Paint-dipped tennis balls thrown against a surface look like big paint-gun splatters. (My high school art students loved it!)
Need to go catch up on your newer posts...
Hugs~
