"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Finished the flowers

I slept out on the porch last night.

In the middle of the night it began to rain, hard!

Some lightening and thunder.

It is still raining.

Please pray that it stops for the rehearsal dinner. Our porch stays 99% dry when it rains, but if it is windy well.... it is a screened porch!

I finished the flowers last night. I am so glad I did not wait till today. I always forget how much time they take, and the mess they make. I had leaves and stems and papers all over the kitchen floor. I'm messy in my floral arranging just like I am in art!!! lol The large arrangement is for the buffet table and the smaller ones are for the dining tables.

This was not the color scheme I had planned. Now I love it, but I was planning on something a little softer. But this is all our farmers market had. I am learning to not fret and just go with the flow. I did add some of my hydrangeas which are the brides favorite flower. I am using plain white dishes, and blue and white transfer-ware so I think they will look fine.

As much as I want everything to look great, my greatest desire is that it will be a blessing to all who attend.

Thanks for the prayers my sweet blogging friends!!!

I will be praying for that, Mary. The flowers are beautiful and I know that it will be an enchanted evening!! And Meg's party will be a sweet memory too. I remember the one we had for Macaulay at our house. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.

Sleeping out on the porch like that sounds wondrously adventurous! The flowers are gorgeous and remind me of what Luanne puts special in the rooms or on the breakfast table for guests and it's always a welcoming memorable sight that's part of the whole overall picture of hospitality. You're going to have a great party, especially since the main ingredient will be prayer.

They look beautiful Mary! You did a wonderful job and I can smell them from where I'm sitting!

Okay, this is getting spooky, since we have yet another thing in common. I have white pottery dishes and blue transfer-ware that I use everyday. I have always been in love with the color of cobalt blue and white!

One of these days I will post a picture of my house just for you Mary.

Praying for your lovely weekend events.
