"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."
It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Friday dinner fun
My oldest son Brian called and asked if he and his girlfriend Abby could come over and make dinner. A fiesta dinner. Well what do you think my answer was?????
It was so much fun watching my kids make dinner.
I was so excited about sitting down and eating a meal I did not prepare I forgot to take pictures of the food on the fiestaware!!!
It was yummy!!!
I'm thinking we should start a new tradition.
Friday Fiesta night!!!
With them cooking!!

Looks like a great Friday night in your house Mary! Each stage of parenting has its challenges and rewards, and to me, this is a reward to be savored! :)
Looks great! How fun : ) I was telling my teen daughter the other day that after she left home, she should expect us every Sunday for a meal : )
Sounds like a great time sweetie.
What I really like about today's kids (well 20's) is that the guys are stepping up!!! Not that the girls aren't doing work too, but the guys aren't afraid to be seen in the kitchen anymore! Looks like fun and I love mexican food!
Yay! Sounds like a great idea. And when they have done, send them round to my place :-)
I love when somebody else cooks and all I have to do is enjoy it. Its so relaxing. And I actually enjoy that more then eating out at a restaurant. How lucky you are,as long as you did'nt have to clean up!
It looks like a wonderful time at your house.
So much fun and laughter.. Are you a collector of many things? :)
What a great family you have! They are so blessed to have a mom like you.
Actually, I love cooking. So if I lived closer to you I just might volunteer my services as a chef at your house ... as long as somebody else washed and dried the fiesta ware! (okay, just kidding about the last part) *innocent look with a friendly mischievous grin *
Now that's the way to have some family fun! What a treat, what a blessing. I love your kitchen, all those windows and light, excellent :-)
I always love the idea of someone else cooking! What a fun way to spend time with your family. :-) Love, debbie
What sweet people. Seeing a kitchen full of fun cheers my soul! and now I am hungry...
What a great idea! Hope they are game to take you up on this new tradition.
Ahhh, and it's so wonderful when our children come home, especially if they want to cook us a meal and tell us to sit down and relax while they make it. You lucky momma you!
I'm so glad you shared your pictures Mary. I love seeing your family through the screen.
Hugs,
Lee Ann
