"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Blessings

O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I'll bless his holy name! O my soul, bless God, don't forget a single blessing! (Psalm 103v1,2 The Message)

In the margin of my Bible I have written, "remember what God has done in my life, do not lose track of my stories."

Sometimes our blessings do not come wrapped looking as such. I have a friend that has had to move several times in the last few years. One of the recent moves certainly did not look like a blessing at the time. Later, she found out that during a heavy rain storm the house flooded. Had they still been living there they would have lost most of their belongings.

Taking the time to look back at God's faithfulness in our lives, helps us to know in the midst of the hard times, (though things do not look so) we have a God who is on our side, who has our best in mind - always!

Advent reading for Wednesday: Psalm 103v1-10; Isaiah 40v25-31; Matthew 11v28-30

Papa, thank you for your faithfulness! Thank you for your loving kindness. Thank you for the many blessings you have given to us, so many I believe we have not even been aware of. As we make preparations to celebrate Christmas, your birthday, may we take the time to look back at your hand in our lives. And give you praise.

Blessings!

This msg really resinates with me sis! The times when my Father in Heaven reminded me He was there even thought I was doing something He didn't approve of...how awesome is that?? I again proof He forgives and will never forsake us. So many prayers were answered over the years sometimes when I didn't even know they were till much later. My heart gives HIM all the glory and praise for the life He has given me. How clearly I see HIS work inspite of myself!!!
sigh!!!

Thank you Mary! I have journaled for years and am always amazed when I look back at some of my written prayers, just how God answered almost everyone. I just didn't realize it until I reread some of them. He is so awesome to care about me (us) like that!

Fighting the usual depression which has led me to depend on www.OrderDrugs.ca for my meds has somewhat blurred the image of the sun from my mind. But reading your post makes me feel different and good in the sense that you remind me that through it all, there would always be a God who would see us through no matter what.

Hey Mary, Thanks for coming by to visit. And your post today........You are so right on. I bet when we get to heaven and watch the Big Movie of our lives, we will see so many scenes where something catastrophic almost happened in our lives had God not put his hand in between that and us. An Awesome thought isn't it. Merry Christmas Sweet Friend, Mollye

I truely believe that God has our best in mind and works in ways that we cannot always see, especially in the midst of struggle and pain. There is hope for better days though, when we are no longer stangers on this earth but home where we belong with Him. God bless you today!
