"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Christmas Goodies

I love decorating for Christmas. I used to spend days decorating, everything had to be just right. That seems to be changing. I wish I had been as comfortable with things not being perfect when I was younger as I am now. I probably would have been a much easier person to live with. My decorating seems to be a little more free these days. I think as God is working in me, making changes within me, it is spilling over in my day to day living. I like the changes.

Daily Advent reading: Psalm 23; Isaiah 25v6-9; Matthew 15v29-39

"Awaken, O Lord Jesus, our hearts and minds to your presence in the world of your love's creating. Forbid that we should stumble through this day oblivious to the wonder in the ordinary. With your grace, startle us into faith's perception of your continuing creation in our lives. Amen. Let it be." (Richard John Neubaus)

Blessings

I love the funky socks over the fireplace, I bet each one has it's own story to tell :-)

It seems it takes a lifetime to begin to see things from His perspective and His view makes all the difference in how we live our lives. Appreciate your spiritual insights.

those stockings hung by the chimney (with care!) are so cute!! and i know what you mean about being more relaxed with "life stuff" as we get older.....not really sure what that's about, but i like it too! :))

I love your stockings and enjoyed the advent reading! Thanks for your visit and kind words about my painting. (I just painted my vision of the fog that day)

Now look at those stockings hung with care!!! I'm so happy you left those funky birds on the mantle, they just fit!!! As I've shared before, I've seen such a softness in you sis over the past few years, and I know it's progressed as your personal relationship with our Abba Father has grown...it's beautiful you know!!!!
