"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Be

Sometimes I think we are too busy doing for God, rather than just being with God.
Sometimes we can loose the intimacy in the frenzy, in the rush of life.
God wants our obedience, our good works for sure, but most of all he wants us.
He wants our hearts. And as we spend time sitting at his feet, our hearts are changed, we are changed.

Advent reading for Tuesday: Psalm 50v7-15; Amos 5v18-24; Matthew 18v12-14

Lord, during this busy season of shopping, parties, family gatherings and celebrations, may we make room for you in our schedules and in our hearts. May we take the time to just be with you. Amen.

Mary Mary!
Jesus is smiling upon you. Yes, he is.. because this was my THIRD confirmation that HE is on control and to STOP slow down.. and spend time with him. Thank you so much for your obedience in posting this.
This is the reason I am doing my Give a way at my blog.
I wanted to give .. take time with God. I sat down today to slow down. God said.. "no need to put out the rest of the decorations, I am right here".. so I packed the rest of the "stuff" and back in the attic they went.
It is so important at this time of the yr to slow down and enjoy.
Hugs, Darlene xo

A hearty amen to that sister! I couldn't agree more, what He wants most is us. How great is that. By the way, I am amazed at all your Christmas decorating, beautiful.

May the Lord help me to stop and BE this Christmas because that what He desires from us anyway. Its reminds me of Mary at Jesus' feet while Martha was up and about running errands.

I'm a day late reading this, but that only shows God's timing is perfect. I really needed these words this morning - thank you Mary!!
