"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

Advent - week 2

Because of God's tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace. (Luke 1:78-79)

Advent reading for Monday: Psalm 85v8-13; Isaiah 35v1-10; Luke 5v17-26

"Forever Fresh and Refreshing Source, Living Water, Bright Garment of Dew, descend now and always in one endless, life-bestowing flow. Bring to us those waters that forever quench our thirst. Bring those waters, we pray, to the deserts of our hearts, that from their parched soil, life may spring anew. And more than this, enable that life-giving flow to pour from ourselves to enliven all around us. In the Name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
Amen. (Scot Cairns - God with Us)

Blessings

I am enjoying your advent posts...They draw me into the true reason for my day. Seeing your little Christmas spots is inspiring me, too. We just got our tree yesterday! Time to make time for Christmas in my heart and home!

God with us ,,isn't that just beautiful to know and cherish. Sometimes in my quiet moods and especially when I am scared (even at 52 yes, still scared, perhaps from my past when i don't kick the enemy out quick enough) I ask Jesus to just hold me tightly in His arms...It is very comforting. Thanks for letting me share about it and also to tell you just how wonderful it is to see notes from you at my blog... Lisa shaw also stops by my blog sometimes she is pretty awesome too. Bet you know her already though.
Big Hugs Mary~~~Dena
PS: CBF was out alot today, did you know?
