This is a journal that I carry with me. It houses my calendar, my to do lists, ideas for my workshops and the stuff of life. I have painted several backgrounds so they are ready when i feel the pull to journal. I completed this spread while in Florida a few weeks ago.

do you really?
oh what a liberating idea
...to carry it with you.
I've never!
I carry little notebooks
that I transfer my bits and pieces
from time to time
but it's a hodgepodge and not at all
freeing
like this feels.
Wow, Mary.
Simply liberating.
Thanks for this....wildly grateful I am!

(p.s. this is GORGEOUS!)
How great that you carry it with you so you can create when you are moved! This is a beautiful spread. Love the colors. Love the bits of interest to draw your attention around! :)
Love these bright colors! xox Corrine
I love this, so colorful and spontaneous!
Gorgeous spread! Thats such a great idea to carry it with you,i usually just carry a big notebook, with all my lists, maybe I should just do alittle something to it,it would probably make grocery shopping better if my list was more colorful.
Ahhh sis I love that photo of mom and dad when they were young...a stricking couple back then. As always your use of color is awesome...haven't painted in a couple mos...have a great day sweetie!!
I have a new smaller journal to travel with. Sometimes, it never gets opened as the traveling takes priority, but just knowing it is there, along with a few materials to play with, as I go gives me a good feeling.
Off to the beach in Maine next week with the hubby - new journal is a-coming !
Have a great holiday weekend !
you are a art journaling wonder! I pack mine for longer trips but never just have it with me, very cool. This is a great spread, got your signature style but with a twist.
Mary...this is absolutely fantastic....Oh, I wish I could journal with you sometimes....you are so amazing!!!
Thought of your inspirationally vivid colors while I was gone this summer. It's good to see them, and you! again ... Thanks for asking about me on my blog.

Hi, Mary! Your blog was a "recommended source" on my Google Reader and I can see why! Your work is awesome! So colorful and vibrant, I love it! This spread reminds a little bit of Sabrina Ward Harrison's work, which I love as well... I'll be coming back!
