"Once we clearly acknowledge the soul, we can learn to hear it's cries. - Dallas Willard, Renovation Of The Heart."

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

new life to an old piece

This piece measures 23 x 10.  It was a framed quote that hung above the mantel in the kitchen.  It was a lovely quote, but I wanted more color...  I usually don't leave as much white showing, but I really like it on this piece.

Did you see the movie???  It was so much fun to watch.  They showed more of the living room than I expected, and when they panned in on "Open Wide Your Heart"...well Meg and I screamed!!  lol  Also, when they turned and walked out of the living room you could see the family photos on the piece in the hallway...well, we know who they are...

It's hot here and we need rain!  I am wilting as much as the hydrangeas in our front yard are.

Oh, are you still wondering what Cornhole is???  They are just about finished...i'll post them as soon as they are.

Loved seeing your house in the movie.......I reconized it from the pictures you had put on your blog....I can't image sitting and watching a movie that was shot in my house....Awesome........

Yea, we need rain badly too......looks like I'm going to have to turn on the sprinkler......

Yes, we saw the movie and when they panned in your your piece I screamed! My husband was quite impressed that I know you and I showed him your blog post with all the production trucks and tents and everything. I enjoyed the movie although we chuckled a little bit over the way they thought a video camera showing stuff about their life was perfectly normal!!!

I love it!!! Was that over the fireplace??? I just love the way you use color! I want to try my hand at this kind of painting, but I'm afraid it would look too much like yours, and I know that wouldn't be good..God forbid I should take your style..ehhehe!!! Dewey and I watched the movie lying in bed...wonderful to see all your things...Just awesome!!!

Now sister, you would not be taking my "style" whatever that is...you go right ahead and paint any ole way you want you hear?? When any of us paints, we are usually using bits and pieces of stuff we have seen other places and people do. That's how we learn and grow.
