I have to tell you about the picture I used for my banner. I have met some really precious women through blogging. One being Mystele (scroll down and click on studio mystele for her site) She is a wonderful artist, her art is an out pouring of her heart and her relationship with God. Her art is a soulful expression full of deep meaning. She has begun to do commissioned paintings. She worked with me to birth this wonderful painting, rich with meaning for me.
An expression of what God is doing in my life. An available women open to God and him moving in my life. Three windows. One for the past, and the healing work he is doing. One for the present (in me), and one for the future. For he has a plan for my life. Vines on the side, for he is growing me up in HIM!!
Mystele, thank you, thank you, thank you. You are such a blessing in my life. I love you!!

It takes courage to pursue our dreams. It takes time and patience to unearth buried treasure. But I believe with all my heart that we must do both.

God has not moved
I was reading over scripture I had previously underlined in my Bible. I came across this Psalm and though how appropriate for our times.
I've already run for dear life
straight to the arms of GOD,
So why would I run away now
when you say,
Run to the mountains; the evil
bows are bent, the wicked arrows
Aimed to shoot undercover of darkness
at every heart open to God.
The bottom's dropped out of the country;
good people don't have a chance"?
But GOD has not moved to the mountains;
his holy address has not changed.
He's in charge, as always, his eyes
taking everything in, his eyelids
Unblinking, examining Adam's unruly brood
inside and out, not missing a thing.
He tests the good and the bad alike,
if anyone cheats, God's outraged.
Fail the test and you're out,
out in a hail of firestones,
Drinking from a canteen
filled with hot desert wind.
God's business is putting things right;
he loves getting the lines straight,
Setting us straight. Once we're standing tall,
we can look him straight in the eye.
Psalm 11
The Message

God has set things right through Jesus. I can, you can look at him, come to him. His heart is for you.

Been Painting
My sister was here for a visit last week. It went by too fast. What fun we had painting together. I started a few paintings while she was here, but I was never satisfied with them. So I reworked, them, changed one almost completely, changed the colors, added to them. I love that about painting, if you don't like something about it, it is easily covered up and fixed.
I wish I was as easily changed sometimes. But God is continually working to make me, make us into the person He created us to be. I am using more and more color in my painting, in my home as well. I think I have found my trademark for my paintings. Blooming flowers. When a flower comes into full bloom it has fulfilled it's purpose. It also brings wonderful fragrance and beauty into the world. That is what I want to do. God's beauty, God's fragrance.
Blessings

Heart Friends
My lovely sister Bevie at bevie2u2.blogspot.com is visiting. Yesterday, we had the splendid opportunity to meet and visit with Yvette at thecharmhouse.blogspot. The three of us have been blogging for a while and just knew we had to meet. Don't you just love how God joins hearts together. When I began blogging I had no idea that I would meet such loving, giving women. I began blogging with the thought that I wanted to be a blessing to others, and the reality is my life has been blessed and enriched by others.
Please stop by Yvette's blog to read more about our adventure and see some wonderful photos.
Blessings and hugs!

Abba still whispers
Brennan Manning (author of The Ragamuffin Gospel) has a new book titled, "the furious longing of God" What a great title full of meaning. He says, "I am witness to the truth that Abba still whispers"
Come then, my beloved,
my lovely one, come.
For see, winter is past,
the rains are over and gone.
Flowers are appearing on the earth.
The seasons of glad songs has come,
the cooing of the turtledove
is heard in our land.
The fig tree is forming it's first figs
and the blossoming vines give out
their fragrance.
Come then, my beloved,
my lovely one, come.
(Song 2:10-13 NJB)
my lovely one, come.
For see, winter is past,
the rains are over and gone.
Flowers are appearing on the earth.
The seasons of glad songs has come,
the cooing of the turtledove
is heard in our land.
The fig tree is forming it's first figs
and the blossoming vines give out
their fragrance.
Come then, my beloved,
my lovely one, come.
(Song 2:10-13 NJB)
God is whispering to me, to you, can you hear him?
